AYASHA MEDIA's production film crew embarked on their journey in the vibrant heart of Haiti, where they immersed themselves in the island’s rich cultural tapestry and the raw beauty of its resilient communities. Capturing the vivid stories of struggle, hope, and everyday life, their work reflects Haiti’s dynamic spirit and complex realities.

As the crew transitioned to Toronto (with production stops in Jamaica, Mexico and Greece), they continued their exploration of the human experience, now focusing on the multifaceted narratives of this diverse urban landscape. Both settings have provided unique backdrops for their storytelling, allowing them to delve into the shared threads of human emotion and resilience that bind people across different cultures.

Melanie has an incredible eye for detail - not only in what she shoots, but in the planning process as well. She led both the coordination and logistics throughout the three week process, moving the team about the island safely and efficiently, while coordinating upwards of 50 different interview subjects in three cities.
